Blink Twice for International Exhibition Success

Blink intelligent glass has once again made a high impact in the exhibition arena – this time at the 10th Euretina Congress held in Paris, 2-5 September, 2010. The benefits of using the company's technology in the field of high impact, multi-media displays was underlined on the stand of drug company Novartis.

Following the success of the Novartis stand at the World Ophthalmology Conference in Berlin during June, Blink was again selected by exhibition company MCC GLC to create a dramatic display that would capture the imagination of stand visitors during the launch of a drug designed to help improve eyesight. The Novartis HD audio visual presentation was projected on to Blink switchable glass panels. As the presentation drew to a close, the glass magically cleared, providing the audience with real engagement with Novartis and the key message of how to achieve clearer vision.

Blink designed a special shoe 120mm deep to hold in place each ofeight custom built panels which were used to create the attraction. Each panel was 2.5 metres tall, 1 metre wide and weighed 150kg. For the audio visual presentation it was critical that there was minimal deflection within the panels whilst their inherent strength met all health and safety stipulations.

Another highly successful project has clearly demonstrated Blink's intelligent glass design expertise and the company's ability to provide stunning solutions for the multi-media and exhibition markets.
